OCZ IBIS SSD review -
Alright, so here's the OCZ packaging. You get the SSD, PCIE 4x add-on card, drivers and a manual. Really it's all you need anyway ;)
Here's the IBIS SSD. We test the 240GB model, which in fact has 256GB FLASH NAND on there spread out over 64 ICs and two PCBs.
Here we can see the backside. To the right is the standard SATA power connector, to the left the HSDL connector which on its end really is a SFF-8087 4x Mini-SAS connector
OCZ however introduced a new product line that is set to move and shake the ground a little more. The OCZ IBIS is a 3.5" Solid State Disk that is available in several volume sizes: 100, 160, 240, 360, 480, 720 and even a 960GB are available. The OCZ IBIS as tested today will pass 700 MB/sec in both read and write performance. It is so fast that it is nearly sickening.
