Noctua NH-D14 Premium cooler - From big to bigger
A tremendous amount of manufacturers out there are making and offering heatpipe based coolers. And face it, anno 2009 there really aren't any 'horrible ones' being produced anymore. The market has stabilized in some sort of Zen mode and within the the entire range and scope of heatpipe based coolers there's a certain comfort zone, and as a result most of these coolers are all adequate at the very least.
Of course there are always exceptions to the rules. There's a handful of manufacturers out there that offer the really interesting stuff, the kit and gear that really stand out from the cooling crowd, the hardware you and me crave and need so badly.
Noctua is such a company. Ever since we got our grubby little paws on one of the first coolers they made, we were impressed. And to date that has not changed. With every product review that passed by, ever since Noctua started making cooling solutions, their reviews have been raving and screaming about quality. See Noctua's heatpipe design really works well -- next to that they have a trump card -- as they have the best fan designs in the business. When you start to accumulate design and innovation like that, you just know can't go wrong with a Noctua cooler.
Looking at this from Noctua's side, that must be a little weird to experience. It's a daunting task to uphold the level of quality and performance they have set for themselves. None the less, Noctua is giving it another try with the biggest and most badass coolers they have ever put on the market.
It is called the Noctua NH-D14 premium cooler -- but as I like to call it ... the Big Ben. Have a peek, then let's move onwards to the next page and startup the review on this truly grand product.

We test and review the Noctua NH-U12S and NH-U14S CPU coolers. Both coolers have recently been introduced into the channel with kicks performance and versus some really nice airflow OWM controlled fans that are drop-dead silent. Hey, it's Noctua .. so you know it's good, let's check out the review shall we ?
Noctua NH-C14 CPU cooler review
In the long line of Noctua CPU coolers they introduced another CPU cooler, tagged with the name NH-C14, the heatpipes bent in a C shape and armed with not one, but two Noctua NF-P14 FLX 140mm fans this product is bound to keep any CPU released to date nicely cooled and chilled.
Noctua NH-D14 review
It is called the Noctua NH-D14 premium cooler -- but as I like to call it ... the Big Ben. Noctua had to go back to the drawing board and came up with the NH-D14 premium CPU cooler. It is a six heatpipe dual radiator design to improve both cooling performance and noise levels. Obviously what catches the eyes is that dual radiator uneven design with a 140mm fan sitting smack down in the middle of the cooler.
Noctua NH-U9 and NH-U12 heatpipe coolers
A new trend that started over the past two years is heatpipe based cooling. Several advantages directly come to mind as the principle is quite simple. You move heat towards another spot other than the source. That way you can get rid of that heat not directly away from that source, yet effectively can cool it down optimally on location B. This means less resources and effort is needed at the original point of heat. The less resources I'm talking about is a direct active form of heat dissipation e.g. loud fans. More cooling these days equals more noise, and don't we all hate it ?
