Lepa G1600 PSU review -
Picture time. Above we have the packaging so you know what to look for in the stores. The PSU inside is packaged nicely and protected in a carton. The LEPA G1600 is a heavy package! I guesstimated it at close to 3 KG. You can see it from that badge already, you can even take her up-to 1700 Watt peak load -- roaaaar!
Once opened up this is what you are looking at, the PSU and cables all come in a carton packaging. The PSU is protected by some plastic and the modular cables can be found in two separate boxes. This PSU is 100% modular cabling wise.
After unpacking, not a dent, scratch or smudge was on the unit. I like it, the PSU has a stylish matte dark finish with a black/gold theme.
The PSU is ready for all current CPU & GPU generations and offers high capacity over its six +12V rails which is great for multi-GPU graphics solutions or really high end graphics cards. That's a whole lot of cables alright! You'll receive the GPU connectors for example in 6/8-pin PEG headers. I'll show you an overview of cables on the next page though.
Should it ever come to the point that you'll be sucking up 1600W then LEPA strongly suggests you use the supplied power cable. You don't want melting cables now do ya ?
We review and test the Lepa G1600 PSU. The 1600 Watt Power Supply is daunting in its numbers, the one has six 12 volts rails with an 133A rating. Crazy crazy stuff.
