A trend we noticed on mouse's lately is replacing that good old rubber cable, now implemented on the keyboard and roughly two Meters is a braided cloth cable, not rubber. I'm very glad the keyboard is wired and not wireless. Wired is much more responsive, faster and less laggy than wireless of course. Especially in a hefty gaming spree these are the things that really matter.

On the top left side of the keyboard are programmable macro keys and mode switch key to the right where you see the Aivia logo (which serves as a button).

The top side function houses extra functionality. The two scroll wheels then, you can dim the LED backlit keys with the left scroll wheel, the right scroll wheel functions as volume adjust.
Underneath the F1 to F4 keys you'll have functionality like , stop, play and next/previous. The media control done this way feels a little so-so hidden under F-keys, I'd rather have seen scroll wheel of some kind. For these functions you do not need to install any software. the keyboard is plug and play. Once you like to fool around with macro's and profiles, that's where you'll need to install software.

The Aivia logo is actually a button which you can use to select one of five macro profiles by pressing it, once pressed the color will change. The combo allows op to 70 macros memorization as Gigabyte claims.
