Far Cry 3 continues the tradition of sandbox-shooter gameplay, allowing players to go where they want and do what they want, thanks to a large number of optional in-game activities that support the lengthy single-player campaign.

Far Cry 3 is based around the the Dunia game Engine which is designed by Kirmaan Aboobaker while he was still working for Crytek. Dunia means "World" in Hindi. Dunia 1 and Dunia 2 are based on the CryEngine but was heavily modified by the Ubisoft Montreal development team for use in Far Cry 2. Interesting fact is that a reworked and modified version of the Dunia Engine was actually used for James Cameron's Avatar: The Game. The vegetation technology is also used in Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, (though these games do not use the Dunia Engine, but instead are using Anvil).

Visually Far Cry 3 simply is mighty impressive. Dunia 2 Engine takes advantage of DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 on Windows Vista, Windows 7 and 8.

Dunia 2 offers up quite a few upgrades over it’s predecessor like dynamic weather, realistic fire, full day/night cycles, and non-scripted AI.

Far Cry 3 is the best open-world single-player FPS experience I've played in recent memory. The world is beautiful, teeming with things to do and places to explore.

With an upgraded engine, more multi-player action than you could shake a stick at, fantastic voice over work, and a story that caters more to the adult audience than the two counterparts; Far Cry 3 looks to bit A hit.

But let's have a look at PC graphics card performance.
