ECS Z77 motherboard

Ivy Bridge processors are here and as such this week we started our reviews on Intel Z77 PCH chipset based motherboards as well. Today we'll peek at the eye-catching ECS Z77H2-AX 'Ivy Bridge' ready Motherboard.

The Z77 PCH is of course the Intel chipset predominantly released for Ivy Bridge based processors. These motherboards will have a slightly altered feature set and thus support them new Ivy Bridge apples from Intel. Good to know however is that Z77 also supports Sandy Bridge  Socket 1155 based processors, that's right your favorite Core i5 2500K and Core i7 2600K will be perfect for these motherboards as well.

ECS of course will offer a good variety of Z77 products as well, today we preview the Z77H2-AX, a board that is going to surprise you. Dr. Evil's 'GOOOOOOOOOLD' will continuously pop into you mind whilst browsing through this review.

The Z77H2-AX is gold plated everywhere. The changes for Z77 primarily can be found in native USB 3.0 support as well as an upgrade towards PCie gen 3 PCIe x16 slots. ECS however really pimped out the motherboard with a lot .. seriously LOT of extra's with even embedded WIFI and Bluetooth.

Have a peek at what is the ECS Z77H2-AX 'Ivy Bridge' ready Motherboard and let's startup this review.
