Call of Duty World at War PC VGA performance

Once we arrive at 1600x1200 we are roughly at the resolution that most of you guys game in, depending on your monitor of course. Even a 129 USD Radeon 4830 is strong enough to push hard. A sweet spot for me personally would be the GTX 260 in SLI. Followed closely by the Radeon 4870 X2 and single GeForce GTX 280.

Call of Duty World at War PC VGA performance

The budget minded will play the game at 1280x1024. So let's leave out the high-end cards out of the equation for a minute. The reality here is that if you pick up a Radeon 3870 which sell for like 70 bucks these days, you can play this game at 1280x1024 with extensive eye candy enabled, which includes 4xAA.

Final Words

I'm pretty confident that we again have a massive title here that's going to be a huge success. I'm also confident that the game won't be everybody's cup of tea. Most of us that have had a taste of COD 4 Modern Warfare, really would like to see more of that. It was new and awesome.

Personally, I however have had a great time thus far with the game. The performance should not really be an issue for any modern graphics card as we have shown you today. Mainly the reason behind this is of course that the COD4 graphics engine was used. Surely it has a coupe of tweaks here and there to improve the look and feel of the game. The reality remains though that the title still looks fantastic. The creators managed to give the game that important look and feel, so if you are into the genre, you'll absolutely love this title.

Meanwhile .. I still have to finish it, so guys, if you don't mind I'm ending this article to ambush some of the bad guys.

Laters ;)

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 VGA performance
Last week the long awaited sequel to Call of Duty Modern Warfare was released -- COD Modern Warfare 2 probably has been one of the biggest anticipated PC game titles this year. This is Guru3D.com we have a fetish for graphics cards and games, as such we took no less than twenty-three graphics configurations and put performance to the test. Over the next few pages a word or two about the game, some image quality comparisons and obviously a nice lengthy VGA chart ranging from monitor resolution 1280x1024 up-to 2560x1600 measured with and with out AA.

Call of Duty 2 Review
Developer Infinity Ward obviously doesn’t believe in small things, but rather aims towards grand scale of epic proportions. The first Call of Duty did this for the most part with some of the most immense battles and a scale and level of intensity never before witnessed on a PC. This has helped set the Call of Duty series above the rest of the crowded World War II genre. Now, Infinity Ward have released their sequel. Something much bigger, more refined and hopefully much better.
