As we figured these speakers are very flat with not noticeable negative coloration during our testing. Although bookshelf speakers are not well known for deep bass these speakers do produce excellent bass for their dimensions.
With that being said, if you are interested in full low end bass extension you will need to add a subwoofer to your Axiom M2's. In fact, we hopefully will have an Axiom subwoofer coming in that is meant for use with these great speakers. Stay tuned for this review in the near future.
The M2's offer a balanced clear signature that isn't overly bright or grating. They produce an excellent 3D soundstage that is very layered and deep. We are very impressed with the sound quality that these speakers can produce given this budget price point.
We have tested quite a few speakers lately within this price range but we found the M2's to be an excellent balance between audio quality and price point. We like them so much; they have the crown in our audio lab for stereo speakers at this price point until we find a new set to surpass them.
If you are setting up a nice desktop audio system and want some bang for your buck, we strongly suggest you take a long look and listen to the AXIOM M2 v3 Bookshelf speakers.
The M2's are a great match with the new high grade soundcards hitting the marketplace and provide an excellent upgrade for existing audio systems using lower grade PC speakers. They have high quality workmanship throughout that screams quality and they look great with a PC desk or wall unit.
Based on our testing, we easily give these speakers, our recommended award. If you are looking for some new bookshelf speakers, contact Axiom and take them up on their in home testing, you won't be disappointed that's for sure.
Until next time, this is Robscix, rocking on in the Guru3D Audio Lab with the AXIOM M2 v3 bookshelf speakers.
