First up, the photo-shoot. Okay, this is the part where we move away from the technical stuff for a minute and move on to the product photo-shoot followed by initial tests on heat, power consumption and noise levels.
We'll start off with the packaging and bundle, the ASUS bundle is sober. You need to seek the extras in the card itself. You'll receive:
- One Radeon HD 6770 with 1024MB GDDR5 memory
- DVI to VGA dongle x 1
- Manual
- Driver CD
- 6-pin PEG power converter
- 6-pin power cable extender
So as you can see, here we have the Radeon HD 6770 as supplied by ASUS. Quite an interesting product to look at really. Black PCB, cool though HUGE looking cooler, totally passive and certainly some nice connectivity. Let me show you that size of the cooler a little better:
Look at the size of that 9" PCB and then compare it with that passive cooler. Bloody hell. Observation: the Radeon HD 6770 series can normally be placed in Crossfire(X) mode, this card can not, as it has no Crossfire connector. Well you couldn't mount a CFX connector over that cooler anyway it would be physically blocking it..
