ADATA SH14 portable USB 3.0 HDD review -
The packaging of the USB 3.0 storage drive is nothing special at default, except for the price that is. We didn't mentioned it just yet but the product is priced at 75 EUR for today's tested 750GB version. Have a peek at some product shoot photo's.
The SH14 drive exterior is constructed of an uncommon silicone material, providing a smooth surface texture that is seldom seen in external drives. The product is lightweight and easy to carry around. Big plus it that is feeds of the USB port completely, no external power adapters are needed.
The SH14 comes in two color series- passion red and serene black. Capacities available are 500GB, 750GB, and 1TB.
The military specification shock-resistant structure, coupled with water resistant and impact-damping silicone shell, creates a nice line of defense for your data.
Utilizing the new generation USB 3.0 transfer interface, it achieves transfer rates up to 109MB/s. To the right the USB port connector, no external power is required as it feeds of the USB port.
It's time to review another USB 3.0 storage unit. It's originates from ADATA and is called the Superior (not a pun) SH14. We test the 750GB version of this model which should bring us read performance of 90 MB/sec. ADATA's latest looks quite fashionable. Buried under red is a 2.5-inch, 5400RPM drive that's IPX4 water-resistant and "military grade shockproof."
