Introduction

PowerColor Radeon HD 5770 PCS+

PowerColor Radeon HD 5770 PCS+If there's one product series that was launched with a bang and got welcomed very much then sure... it has to be ATI's Radeon 5000 series graphics cards. Features like Eyefinity, DirectX 11 and sure... sheer money versus performance really lifted the spirit of this product launch. Unfortunately, availability has been an issue up to this point, but right now things are changing in that respect.

With the cards becoming more and more available we'll see more and more manufacturers, AIC and AIB partners, release new updated products based on the series 5000 product. PowerColor is releasing a Radeon HD 5770 which is labeled as PCS+ and comes with a custom PCB, slightly higher clock frequencies, custom cooler, and no less than four output connectors.

In fact the entire feature set of a card like this is quite grand when you think about it:

  • 1GB GDDR5 memory (128-bit)
  • ATI Eyefinity technology with support for up to six displays
  • ATI Stream technology
  • Designed for DirectCompute 5.0 and OpenCL
  • Accelerated Video Transcoding (AVT)
  • Compliant with DirectX 11 and earlier revisions
  • Supports OpenGL 3.1
  • ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU support for highly scalable performance
  • ATI Avivo HD video and display technology
  • Dynamic power management with ATI PowerPlay technology
  • DL-DVI, DL-DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI
  • PCI Express 2.0 support

All in all a very interesting product, it is located below the sub-175 USD price range. Let's go and find out if what PowerColor offers is really enticing.

But sure, have a look at the product first, and then head on over to the next page please.
