Introduction

A speedy, really fast USB 3.0 stick that is what most people need. As such we review the MX-Technology MX-ES USB 3.0 SLC flash drive, a USB 3.0 stick equpped with SLC NAND Flash memory allowing it to boast speeds up-to 160MB/s for read and writes

Slowly but steadily the market is seeing good consumer grade USB 3.0 flash disks that are easy to carry around and with multi-channel technology that can offer really sexy read/write speeds.

Now there will be plenty of USB 3.0 sticks available but but MX-Technology released a rather seriously fast USB stick that caught our attention.

The storage unit is all USB 2.0 and 3.0 compatible and it's called the MX-ES from their 'Advanced High performance' series of products. We test an easy to carry around 32GB version of this model. This flash drive will get you read performance of roughly 160MB/sec peaks while writing just as fast.

Obviously to use a USB 3.0 stick, your motherboards needs a proper functioning USB 3.0 port (USB 3.0 host), after that you're good to go. And if not, sorry my man, but rest assured the device will fallback to USB 2.0 so ya can still use it.

So this flash drive will get you  performance of roughly 160MB/sec peaks and that really is unheard of for a small handy flash storage drive.

Anyway, let's have a peek at the MX-ES USB 3.0 Flash Drive with all it's SLC Nand Flash glory.
