Corsair HS1 and Sharkoon Xtatic SP Headset Review

Welcome back to another headset review at Guru3d.com.  It is pretty rare that we delve into the depths of the headset market, but today we do.  It is even more unusual that we have two headsets on the test bench today, Sharkoons Xtatic SP and the Corsair HS1.  A headset has many roles to play, headphone for music and games, microphone for voice chat, but will they work well for all of them?  While there are no shortage of headsets vying for your attention, which of these two stand out of the margin and worthy of a gurus attention? Of course, were here to help you figure that out.

In the US we have no trouble recognizing Corsair, at first a small memory company started back in 1984 that's grown into a big company with a lot of diverse, and some of the best, products in the enthusiast market.  Sharkoon, on the other hand, is much larger company.

Both the Xtatic and the HS1 are pretty evenly matched.   Both are USB powered, noise-cancelling, sealed-back, circumaural headsets.  Both can fold up reasonably, but since they are both quite large already, it wont hide much.  The Sharkoon Xtatic SP can play with your PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.  Both come in any color you choose as long as its black.

There are some interesting differences, of course, and thats what were here to find out!  Lets get down!
