Introduction

Call Of Duty Black Ops II Graphics Performance with 23 graphics cards

It is that time of the year again in Q4, typically either October or November historically is the timeframe when a Call Of Duty game is released, this year Black Ops II.

The Call Of Duty series has been around for so many years now and the reason for that is simple, it is a successful and appealing gaming franchise. Each year we however we complain about that never updated graphics engine, because as PC users .. we want the best eye-candy availble.

This year however the game changes literally as Call of Duty: Black Ops II will get a number of visual enhancements over previous games in the franchise. HDR lighting, bounce lighting and self-shadowing. There's also a new texture technique called Reveal Mapping, which is claimed to offer big improvements in texture detail.

So us graphics hungry PC gamers with the correct hardware can look forward to DirectX 11 eyecandy as yes the engine now moves towards being DX11 compatible while supporting DirectX 10 as well. There is NO DirectX 9 support anymore, meaning that if you run Windows XP with/or a DX9 class graphics you'll be out of luck. Time for an upgrade.

For the new Medal of Honor Warfighter game things have changed, an upgraded game philosophy and a DirectX 11 game engine ensures that we graphics minded guru's will have a sincere focus at the game. Hey, great gameplay and good graphics on a PC, that's just awesome.

With the new graphics engine in mind and Keywords like Nuketown and Zombies the first person shooter game which is being developed by Threyarch and published by Activision. It is both a single-player and multiplayer game. Small note -- Dedicated server support as stated in an official blog post on September 28th states that dedicated servers will exist, but the bad news is that you can't have one. Activision is hosting all of them itself, refusing to allow you to even rent one, eliminating the possibility for mods.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's near-future setting might have a shot at breaking the cycle of repetition that's defined the series since 2007.

It is the ninth installment in the Call of Duty franchise, and the direct sequel to and a sequel to the 2010 game Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Here at Guru3D we are excited about the game because it willget the update graphics engine which delivers more destructive environments, high quality audio and great 3D graphics.

This means that Call Of Duty Black Ops II  system requirements will be more demanding, however, the game will have some of the most advanced visuals and graphics of any game on the market. Here are the full PC specs for the game:

The single-player campaign will feature two connected storylines, one set in the 1970s through 1980s and the other in 2025. The protagonist of Black Ops, Alex Mason returns as the protagonist in the Cold War section, where he will be fighting in proxy wars for the United States in the Cold War. Known locations for this section of the game include multiple sites in Central America, Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion and Angola.

This section of the game will also see the rise to infamy of the game's primary antagonist, Raul Menendez, a Nicaraguan narco-terrorist and the leader of "Cordis Die", a populist movement celebrated as the champions of victims of economic inequality. Mason's friend and colleague Frank Woods will also return, and narrate the story into the 2025 section of the game.

The 2025 section of the game features Alex Mason's son David as a protagonist. When a cyberattack cripples the Chinese Stock Exchange, China bans the export of rare earth elements, which in turn leads to a new Cold War between China and the United States. In this era, war is defined by robotics, cyberwarfare, unmanned vehicles, and other futuristic technology. Taking advantage of this stand-off, Menendez attempts to bring the two powers to a full-blown war by inciting conflicts between the two. Known locations for this section of the game include Los Angeles, Singapore and Socotra, Yemen.

It has been hinted at that the side-plot of Viktor Reznov and his relationship with Alex Mason, which began in Black Ops, will be continued in Black Ops II ;)
