Final Words & Conclusion

Final Words & Conclusion

The Zalman Z9 Neo White edition sits in a 64~79 USD / EUR price bracket and admittedly, for that money you purchase a chassis that offers a lot in terms of build quality (very sturdy), nice looks with the white & black design versus LEDs and your regular features. There's plenty space inside the chassis to work in while you'll have decent enough storage options just as well. You just need to stick to the standard ATX form factor motherboards, up to that size will fit with space left for 120/240 mm liquid cooling.

Aesthetics

The white / dark looks inside and out, the overall style, grommet holes, cable management options and a nice four pre-installed fans it is something you need to like, but if you do you will truly dig this chassis. On the topic of colors, that's a preference you can choose from white or black are the alternatives for you. The big nice bonus of course is the blue LED lighting accents done with the two LED lit fans. It's done in subtle way and makes the chassis stand out once activated. With a white studio and a white chassis, this was horrendous the photograph though, but I do hope you got the picture as this chassis really is something else.

The Innards

The Zalman Z9 Neo White offers enough room for pretty much anything you like to install up-to a high-end PC, not enthusiast as space wise keep in mind that up-to ATX sized motherboards will fit, thus E-ATX an XL-ATX are not an option. There's enough space to maneuver in which will make component installation a breeze really. Cable management options are good. We do have to note that power supply mounting is OK up-to a PSU with a length of 18 cm. After that your connectors might bump into the HDD bay. There's 2 cm clearance for cable routing behind that motherboard tray. Good to notice are the rubberized grommet holes, excellent for tucking away all cabling. The HDD drive trays works simple enough, though for the rest you do need screws to secure the remaining HDDs and SSDs, installation otherwise is easy. We like the fact that you can hide storage units at the backside. The looks are quite nice and with the side panel window you can peek at your hardware as well. It surely is a complete chassis for its size alright and with the side window will offer very clean looks.

Final Words

Other then the fact that the PSU mount could have been a bit more spacier we cannot complain about the Z9 neo White. it looks great, offers plenty of cooling with its four included fans, nice dark interior, good enough storage options and so on. For this money the chassis in fact feels right in every way. The build quality is great, it's metal, sturdy and does not feel flimsy whatsoever. So I'd classify that as good, very good even. Liquid cooling wise you will be limited to 120/240 mm though, then again this is a mid-sized tower so that makes sense. Overall the chassis is feature rich with the removable dust filters, offers enough HDD/SSD trays. You can purchase the Z9 neo White for roughly 65 to 79 USD. Zalman has brought a proper and very nice looking chassis to market with this updated white edition,if you are in the market for such a product, then definitely place it on your short-list. We can recommend it very much.
