Hardware Installation
Once we've done that we are nearly ready. We need to give the fans some juice. Unfortunately they do not feed power from the graphics card itself. A fan controller is added which leads to the two fans and draws power from a motherboard FAN header. This unfortunately will result in a lot of extra cables inside the chassis + you have just added a fan controller that you need to hide somewhere.
I'm not fond at all of the fan controller due to these reasons.
So then, once you mounted the cooler you start to realize what a huge graphics card you all of a sudden have. Make no mistake, this eats away space inside the chassis alright, you will loss no less then 3 PCI slots.
But granted .. it really is a pretty sight. Right, we are going to insert the graphics card into the PC in the hope that it still works after our little soldering job.
