Conclusions

Xincom have produced a fine solution to quite a specialist market at the moment. We have seen the easy user (web based) interface which I find easier to browse than the Linksys routers.

There are many options available to edit just like in most routers. An adequate help screen for each page of the routers interface helps you figure out what each option and buzz word means. The pdf manual on the cd is much more complete and is well worth a read if you have never really understood a lot of networking.

As our tests have shown, performance is really not going to be an issue. The CPU was at 74% with a heavy load test, so theres plenty more we could do to max it out.

The real question you really need to ask yourself is would you afford this product when compared to other offerings from the likes of Hawking, Planet or Edimax who do similar products at a lower cost. As this really is the only problem I have with the router. The only way to find out is to scour the net for reviews of similar products and browse forum after forum.

Let me leave you with this thought.
Xincom have made a fine router with many features that work pretty much straight out of the box. They are aware of the problems and security issues surrounding todays environment and they are updating their products to safeguard their customers. Apart from the slightly higher price tag, I believe this to be a decent buy if you have the need to utilise two internet connections.
