Final Words & Conclusion

As with any company Creative has always had its devoted fans and people who do not care for their products.

It would seem that Creative has taken a big swing at the current heavy weights in the market, showing they still has muscle and can build soundcards that can compete with products from anybody.  After all Creative really helped pioneer and build the soundcard market.

The Titanium HD has a big powerful sound, offering tight articulate bass, balanced midrange and crispy highs. We would go as far to say this card produces music and not just audio and is one of the best sounding sources we have had in the Guru3D Audio Lab.

That being said, there are some aspects that are less than stellar.  First, the company used pressed opamp sockets; they should have used machined units.  Machines units last longer and are higher quality for the end user when swapping out opamps.  We would have liked to see an external power input on this card such as a molex connector for direct connection to the PSU.

We would have also liked to see coaxial S/Pdif input on this model and not just optical.

The input section on this card was a surprise and should offer excellent quality recording for the weekend rappers or casual recording guys.

We couldnt see any glaring issues or problems with this product, in our opinion it is a very great sounding, well rounded product.  The Titanium HD offers excellent sound quality for everything related to audio.

guru3d-recommended_150px.jpgIf you are looking for a soundcard to upgrade from your onboard or to upgrade your existing soundcard we would urge you to take a look at the Titanium HD and get ready to enjoy some high definition audio.  Perhaps you could ask your significant other for this gift for the Holidays as it should keep you rocking well into the New Year.  Considering the design aspects and the sheer sound quality of this product, the Titanium HD gets our recommended award.

Until next time, this is Robscix at the Guru3D Audio Lab rocking out to the Titanium HD.  Happy  Holidays.
