When we flip it around (plastic protection covers this) we see a mirror flat finish. This is a perfect finish for optimal heat conductivity. And you can use it as a mirror to comb your hair in of course ;)
Any processor fitting the following sockets is supported: Intel Socket LGA1366 / 1156 / 775 and AMD Socket AM3/AM2+/AM2. All brackets and mounts needed are included of course, you'll also receive a little TIM, thermal paste.
First thing we need to do is mount retention brackets for Socket LGA 1156. The manual is very descriptive on how to mount there. You secure two clips with four screws.
