Why ATI or NVIDIA, why Intel/AMD?

I chose NVIDIA because I believe that it is the best video card company out there! I am sort of anti-ATI because once I had an 9200 SE and it really sucked in gamming. Yeah NVIDIA is expensive but they also give you quality for money!

AMD because as everyone knows that AMD socket 939 are the best processors out there, also I didnt have much money when buying this system so I put in a cheap processor so that later on when I get the money, I can upgrade to an X2.

Does the system work as expected?

Yes, it sure does. I think I have the best system in all my friends. This system runs all the games on full setting at around 40-75 FPS. Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 runs at 75 FPS on ultra settings with a little bit of AA.

What sucks and should not have been bought?

Noting at all! I love all the parts of my system, because I took time to study all of them and then bought them! Here is a piece of advice for all you gamers out there! Never buy a system or any system part in a hurry! You will screw up!

Modified cases/video cards/other? Did you do it yourself? Walk us through it.

I have modified an X-box controller for PC, it works real great.

I cut a side window in my case using a hammer and a knife ?, lol it took me 3 hours to do it but looks cool!

I have 4 fans in my computer to keep it cool because I hardly turn off my computer. These fans are all connected to a custom made fan controller, this controller just turns them off or on.
