Performance FPS Crimson versus Adrenalin
We're not going intensely deep with a performance comparison. I grabbed three games with a scripted scene and ran them through FCAT. If you look at the plots, 50% would be your average framerate. The card used is the Radeon RX 580. I used the initial April Crimson 17.4.2 driver, and then compared the result sets with the new Adrenalin 17.12.1 driver as released today.
You'll notice that in the course of 10 months, obviously, the performance has increased a notch. Would I have used the Crimson 17.11.4 driver from two weeks ago, the perf difference would be close to NIL. But this does show that drivers and game patches do increase performance.
