DX9: Hard Reset

DX9: Hard Reset

Hard Reset is a PC-exclusive FPS from The Flying Wild Hog, a Polish developer that is made up from members of the team behind Painkiller (People Can Fly), and former developers from CD Projekt Red and City Interactive.
In development since April 2009, the game features a cyberpunk plot. It draws inspiration from William Gibson, Neal Stephenson, and Philip K. Dick (especially Blade Runner in story). In gameplay, Serious Sam is the main inspiration; explosive barrels and large hordes of enemies will be prominent within the game. There is no multiplayer.

Hard Reset was added into our benchmark suite as it has a handy to use benchmark mode that is very representative of the in-game graphics engine performance.

You can see that up-to 1920x1200 we have CPU limitation in Crossfire. It makes sense as this is a not too heavy on the GPU DX9 title. At 2560x1600 you can see the real scaling kick in -- HARD.

So once we pass 1920x1200 multi-GPU scaling kicks in really well.

Very few other results for now, we recently inserted this benchmark. Probably we should have moved to 2560x1600 here as it shows a nearly doubled framerate. Regardless, give the beasts enough CPU horsepower and they will kill.
