Okay so let's have a peek at the Radeon HD 5670. We'll be testing two today to be able to measure some Crossfire results as well. The board design as you can see is pretty straight forward. I like the black PCB now available even in the somewhat budget range cards. A fairly standard cooler is used, which works quite well though. The card will peak out at roughly 70 Degrees C with 36 Degrees C idle temperatures (based on 22C room temperature).
Budget or not, Eyefinity is at your disposal as well. With the first driver builds you can drive up-to 3 monitors, in new updated drivers you can go up-to four monitors, all dual-link DVI up-to 2560x1600 monitor resolutions. The reference cards are well equipped with a Display port, HDMI and DVI monitor output connector. Both the Display port and HDMI connector will output multi-channel sound as well, damn handy when connecting straight to a receiver or HDTV.
The backside of the card is fairly simple. Since the card we received only uses 512MB memory you will not spot any memory here.
