PowerColor Radeon HD 5770 Single Slot in 4-way CrossfireX

PowerColor R5570 Single Slot in 3-way CrossfireXA little while ago PowerColor released a new SKU from the popular Radeon HD 5770 lineup of products; in fact they made an actual single slot version of this card, allowing you to go for multi-GPU setups much easier as it saves a lot of space.

The new cards are clocked at reference speeds as the new single slot coolers obviously have a little less cooling capacity compared to the dual-slot version. Today we'll take a total of four of these cards and see what they'll do setup in multi-GPU-mode, CrossfireX.

See the Radeon HD 5770 as tested today can be purchased for roughly 150 EUR a pop these days, three of them with one Gigabyte of graphics memory each could open up a can of performance, easily beating the most high-end CPUs. But as always one question arises: how does CrossFireX with the Radeon HD 5770 really scale anno September 2010? Well, to find that out we requested four of these cards from Power Color to see what happens.

Meet the Powercolor HD5770 1GB GDDR5 Single Slot graphics card. Each Radeon HD5770 is clocked at 850MHz, has a 1GB memory partition running at 1,2GHz (x4 Quad data rate gDDR5) over a 128 bit memory bus. Each card comes with a Display Port, DVI-I and HDMI allowing much flexibility monitor wise.

Have a peek of the quadruple lovin lovah we're testing today, and then let's head onwards to the review.
