POV GeForce GTX Ultra Charged

Point of View GeForce GTX 768MB Ultra Charged

It is time for another GeForce GTX 460 review, this time the fastest 768MB model available on the globe. Recently the guys and cute Dutch gals over at Point of View introduced a new line of enthusiast overclocked graphics cards cards under a label called  TGT tuned graphics cards.

The TGT cards are a series of cards that have been pre-overclocked. No special cooling or anything, just BIOSes with it's voltage and RPM tweaks allowing higher clock frequencies on the graphics card, and a not by a little ...

See, some of the TGT products are clocked pretty darn high, the GeForce GTX 460 Ultra Charged version we test today actually comes with a 820 MHz core clock, and bare in mind .. the reference baseclock is 675 MHz for this product series. In the air-cooled segment, this is what that looks like:

The POV/TGT CHARGED version
The CHARGED version is the version that is clocked faster than the standard out-of-the-box graphics card. This version is using clock speeds that are pretty interesting.

The POV/TGT ULTRA CHARGED version
The ULTRA CHARGED versions are carefully selected graphics cards that can reach top speeds and still use the standard cooler. This top model can reach very high performance speeds right out of the box.

  • TGT-460-A2-768-C GTX460-768MB Charged Core 780Mhz / Memory 3800Mhz
  • TGT-460-A2-768-UC GTX460-768MB Ultra Charged Core 820Mhz / Memory 4000Mhz
  • TGT-460-A2-1024-C GTX460-1024MB Charged Core 780Mhz / Memory 3800Mhz
  • TGT-460-A2-1024-UC GTX460-1024MB Ultra Charged Core 820Mhz / Memory 4000Mhz

So the first sample arrived today and we'll be having an in-depth look at the GeForce GTX 460 768MB Ultra Charged version. Will this card manage to keep his cool, will it remain to be inaudible ? All very valid factors worthy checking out of course, and as such we'll make that happen. head on over to the next page where we'll start up this review.

PoV GeForce FX 5500 Review
When I first asked NVIDIA about the 5500 they seemed utterly surprised and asked why I was reviewing a 5500. Hey it's a big market and NVIDIA sells more low and mid end products then high-end. So why not ?
