Video playback - Battery lifetime - ShowCase
Video playback
Here's where that Mali 400 GPU kicks in, surprisingly enough the device can even deal with high-definition content, its supports pretty much the important file formats and containers like mov-, mkv-, vob- and ts-containers with the included and preinstalled playeer. Audio wise you see that all common formats are supported including mp3, wma, acc, ogg, flac and even dts-audio.
We tested with a couple of MP3s and a 720P MKV file, and both function perfectly with the player.
To get data towards the device simple use the mini USB cable, enable USB support at the tablet, and then in Windows you'll spot a 'MID' device added. Open it, make a video and a music directly, dump the files in there and the player on the tablet will find and add them.
Battery lifetime
It didn't disappoint but wasn't super either, with a freshly charged battery would could get 5 hours of continued usage out of the product. This was based on usage of application, a little browsing etc. Once you start to playback HD movies typically you need to worry about the battery, however the GPU seems energy efficient enough to deal with it carefully. Charging the device takes up a much longer time though, many hours for a full charge.
Normal usage brought us to roughly 5 hours of battery life, Movie playback lasted 4.5 hours and active web browsing.

As always packaging and bundle first. You'll receive the tablet, power adapter, USB cables and a headphone set alongside a small manual.
Here we have the ProTab2XXL - the 10" screen certainly pops out. Some might even find it a notch too large. The screen is capacitive and has a resolution of 1024 x 600, here's where we'd have preferred 1024 x 800 though. But hey, budget ...
The backside is completely white and it gives the tablet a little more flair really, opposed to having an all black design.
