The sample we have at hand is the 512 GB model. Performance is listed as 2450 MB/s for reads and 1000 MB/sec for writes with roughly 175 IOPS at 4k random writes QD32 aligned disk access with our tested model.

Above, the tested unit; you should easily be able to place the unit into a compatible motherboard. You should seat it into a x4 / x8 or x16 slot PCIe with NVMe support. And yeah check that out, it looks terrific. The unit basically functions as one big heat-sink. inside resides the M2 SSD covered with thermal padding. We'll look at that on the next page though.

The compact form factor ensures compatibility with next-generation desktop and mobile platforms that support PCIe slots and interface. Mind you that this x4 PCIe unit can be inserted into a x16 slot without problems.

Inside it is a Marvell flash controller and Toshiba 15nm TLC NAND flash memory. Plextor offers a 3-year limited warranty, they also claim a 1.5 million hour MTBF (mean time between failures) but that I am afraid means nothing as this isn't an HDD eh? The top side has a blue LED array that shows a breathing animation, and when writing flashes.
