Right then, above packaging. Plextor delivered the 256 GB model. Packaging is simple and euhm, yeah rather red !

If you did not get what this product is by now, the unit is a bootable PCIe SSD and using a marvell controller. First glance at the product, it surely is looking rather simple. But let's look with a little more detail.

I still find it fascinating that with one controller Plextor can push 770 MB/s reads and 580 Mb/s writes, this shows clerly how much of a bottlenck SATA3 is becoming. M6e is advertising up to 100,000 4KB random write IOPS on reads and writes, not bad -- well actually that is beyond terrific really.
