Final Words & Conclusion

The regular GeForce GTX 560 (thus non Ti model) is as interesting as a GTX 460 or even 470 really, based on the newer chip it has been tweaked offers better performance, better power yet still a little high consumption and a better price. All wins in my book. The card can keep up in the mid-range segment really well.

What's tiresome though is that the past year or two we are only seeing refresh products in that mid-range segment mostly. So it is again the same performance, the same features just in another jacket -- yep the saturation of the market is humongous. Now that's not necessarily a bad thing, but what the graphics market needs badly is some change, we like to see some new features alright. I guess we'll have to wait on the next generation of products where we'll hopefully see some new innovation.

GeForce GTX 560 Sonic Platinum Palit

The Palit GTX560 Sonic Platinum offers really decent performance and that standard feature set. Palit uses their own PCB, apply their own custom cooler and then factory clocked it higher. All that at sheer silence and good cooling temperatures, that's good stuff.

In the 169 EUR bracket this card will offer you great performance with monitor resolution up-to 1600x1200. Most games however will play fine at 1920x1200 as well, and that thus oozes value for money.

guru3d-recommended_150px.jpgThe Palit GeForce GTX 560 Sonic is a very decent and impressive product, the performance is nice which will match pricing hopefully. Just don't pay more than say 175 EUR for this card, otherwise the GTX 570 is becoming more interesting real fast. The same goes for the USD conversion, the MSRP will rouhgly be 199 USD and that's borderline alright, we hope prices will drop to say 159 EUR / 169 USD as that's where this product makes the most sense.

A thumbs up from us to Palit, it is a nice, fast and silent product worthy of a recommendation from Guru3D.com, you surely can play any game to date very nicely at a very reasonable price.

So overall we feel that this regular GeForce GTX 560 series is a decent product that can be welcomed in the mid-range graphics card market. These products however remain more of the same gear we've been seeing for a long time now. But when you focus at performance versus money, yeah sure then the Palit GTX560 Sonic Platinum will be a good deal with excellent tweaking possibilities. It will offer you a lot of gaming pleasure.
