And here's the PCB of the 512GB model. This 6Gbps storage unit makes use of 25nm MLC synchronous NAND, its actually very similar to what a Vertex 3 uses. It has a good sixteen NAND ICs with four 8GB die per package.

To the right you can see one of the two DRAM chips cache split into two 256MB chips, thus equaling to 512MB. As stated both 6Gbps and 3Gbps connections can be used albeit 6Gbps is the way to go.

And there it is, the Everest 2 controller. The Everest is OCZ Indilinx's 2nd 6Gbps controller the first SSDs series using it thus is the OCZ Vertex 4 series SSD. And for those that wonder, the Octane has a IDX300 series controller.

We see sixteen 32GB Intel NAND modules and another module of Micron 256MB DRAM. This gives us a RAW NAND Flash capacity of 512GB and a DRAM cache of 512MB.
