The cables are EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) shielded with the help of that plastic coating, the shielding is supposed to be copper based and while it does not look to be so they might make use of a copper alloy or something. This shielding makes the cables a little stiff, not at all an issue though. The fact that the cables are rounded makes them look good in let's say an open or modded case with window, even better in a watercooled system. Oh hey, and they are even UV light reactive, if you wish that retro 80ies feeling.

For the silence freaks among you, a nice feature is a built-in fan controller, which at several stages will make the fan spin harder or softer. I wouldn't call the fan silent though. It's clearly there. But definitely less louder then your average PSU. The fan is also equipped with a lovely blue LED, especially nice in cases with a transparent window you will love this effect at night-time.

And what's a Guru3D.com review without a photo of the box eh? That's a kilo or 2-3 you are looking at though.
