Final words and conclusion

NZXT carries on the tradition with their sleek armor style chassis, you can see the DNS in the Noctis 450 alright. From ground up this is a new chassis design though with some clever tricks and pleasant aesthetic tweaks. You receive all the top notch features, space and most of the goodies that you can expect from NZXT as long as you stick to the standard ATX form factor motherboards, up to that size will fit with plenty space left for liquid cooling.

Aesthetics

The white / dark looks inside and out, the overall style, grommet holes, cable management options, fan HUB and pre-installed fans it is something you need to like, but if you do you will truly dig this chassis. On the topic of colors, that's a preference you can choose from white or black are the alternatives for you. .The big nice bonus of course is the LED lighting system, the blue LEDs are subtle and really make the chassis stand out once activated. With a white studio and a white chassis, this was horrendous the photograph though, but I do hope you got the picture as this chassis really is something else.

The Innards

The Noctis 450 offers enough room for pretty much anything you like to install up-to a high-end PC, not enthusiast as space wise keep in mind that up-to ATX sized motherboards will fit, thus EATX an XL-ATX are not an option. There's enough space to maneuver in which will make component installation a breeze really. Cable management options are good. I like that clearance for cable routing behind that motherboard tray. Good to notice are the rubberized grommet holes, excellent for tucking away all cabling. The HDD/SSD drive trays works simple enough, though you do need screws to secure the actual HDDs, installation otherwise is easy. We like the fact that you can hide all these storage units at the backside. The looks are quite nice and with the side panel window you can peek at your hardware as well. It surely is a complete chassis for its size alright and with the side window will offer very clean looks.

Final Words

NZXT has done a truly lovely job with the Noctis 450. It's silent, has the LED lighting system and then the looks. You receive four great quality fans in there, you can set and configure the fan RPM mode with your motherboard BIOS eeasily. Connectivity wise you get four USB ports for which two are USB 3.0. New and innovative are the two 2.5" SSD tray mounts and let me say it, I actually applaud the placement, as I like to see my SSDs though the side panel window, and not hide them on the back-plate or anything. The build quality is great, it's metal, sturdy and does not feel flimsy whatsoever. So I'd classify that as good, very good even. Excellent are all the space and mounting options for anything liquid cooling related, a huge plus needs to be tagged for that alone. Overall the chassis is feature rich with the removable dust filters, offers enough HDD/SSD trays, and thus is aimed at the audiophile crowd as well. The chassis has pretty okay airflow with its fans. Though not 100% silent it is silent and you cane easily adjust fan RPM. You can purchase the Noctis 450 for roughly 125 EUR. NZXT has brought a proper and very nice looking chassis to market, and if you are in for such a product, then definitely place it on your short-list. We can recommend it very much. It's 9.5kg of fun, style and quality.
