Sound and Graphics

The game has some nice sounds tracks, and the engine sounds are fantastic. Every car sounds different and the tires screeching and thuds sound real. The cars are very nicely detailed, but some of the filters, specifically the blurring, looks poor on the system. Carbon very easily stresses my graphics card and I was not able to pump up all of the settings and be able to play the the game with a good enough frame rate. You can see reduced but realistic shadows and every now and then the skylight can be seen.

With all the settings on my card (6800 Ultra) maxed out for maximum quality everything looks good but you will notice the fps count. As a matter of fact, the fps remained more or less constant with the card setup for max quality, quality, performance or max performance.

With settings adjusted for high performance and anti-aliasing and anisotropic at lowest the fps almost doubles.
