Alright, pretty pictures time. Here shall follow a couple of pages with photos from our humble photo-shoot. And there it is, the GeForce GTX 780 from MSI and yes, it is a rather cool looking dude. The card is using an updated revision of their TwinFrozr design, which now has dual 10cm fans for pretty good heat dissipation.

First up, packaging. Below, the GeForce GTX 780 from MSI, very recognizable with the Dragon theme on there, which represents the gaming series.

The card is quite a looker but admittedly, it would be nice to see a slightly altered design, MSI has been riding the TwinFrozr design for a long time now, and they all do look the same alright. But still, a great design overall, excellent cooling really and of course underneath that TwinFrozr cooler sits a GeForce GTX 780 with 6 GB of memory all protected with the best components that fit MSI's Military design concept. TwinFrozr IV - I know, it is a lot of marketing, but the cooler really gives overall good temperatures.

MSI will release two 6GB SKUs onto the market, the normal and OC edition. Our OC edition comes factory overclocked towards an impressive 954 MHz (core) / 1006 MHz (boost). The memory runs at 6008 MHz (effective data-rate).

Both SKUs are thus 6GB editions, meaning you get 6GB graphics memory. I know, it is a lot of marketing, as the cooler really gives overall good but not excellent temperatures. The aluminum radiator covers the VRM and even memory area. The cooler can dissipate 450W of heat whilst remaining really silent.

With the GeForce GTX 780 you will receive four display connectors, you'll spot a full size Display Port connector, one full size HDMI connector and two DVI connectors (dual-link). You can combine these connectors to set up a surround view (multi-monitor) setup. One card will give you more than sufficient performance to play your games on three monitors.

To date we still receive this question a lot, but dual-link DVI does not mean you can hook up two monitors to one connector. Dual-link means double the signal bandwith, that way monitor resolutions over 1920x1200 can be supported or you could use a 120Hz monitor. So explained very simply, dual-link DVI supports high-resolution (above 1920x1200) or high-refresh rate (120Hz) monitors.

MSI offers this SKU in a 6GB factory clocked edition and overclocked edition. And as our article will show later on, there's room for tweaking as we got this puppy running stable over 1200 MHz on the boost frequency and the memory reached a few MHz shy of 7.2 GHz, which is awesome.
