Overclocking GeForce GTX 1050

It's OK to OC

Traditional overclocking - As most of you know, with most video cards you can apply a simple series of tricks to boost the overall performance a little. Typically you can tweak the core clock frequencies and voltages. By increasing the frequency of the videocard's memory and GPU, we can make the videocard increase its clock cycles per second.

Original This sample Overclocked
Core Clock: 1354 MHz Core Clock: 1418 MHz Core Clock: 1578 MHz
Boost Clock: 1455 MHz Boost Clock: 1531 MHz Max Boost Clock: ~1911 MHz
Memory Clock: 7.0 GHz Memory Clock: 7.0 GHz Memory Clock: 8 GHz

Our applied tweak:

  • Core Voltage : N/A
  • Power Limit : 125 %
  • Temp. limit : 97C
  • Core Clock : + 160
  • Memory Clock : +1000 MHz (=8.1 GHz effective data-rate)

Once overclocked keep this in mind: Due to the dynamic nature of the boost clock, your frequency is not fixed. Limiters and monitors, temperature, load, power and voltages will continuously alter a maximum clock state. For most reference cards these will all be the same, likely for board partners as well.

** Both the 1050 and 1050 Ti test max out at 1911 MHz (Boost) precsiseley, we are currently investigating if there is a bug somewhere. Nvidia confirmed this on their end as well.
