Let me introduce the graphics cards tested today to you. Above, packaging for the KFA2 product series. A bit of an EU emo packaging design really. Two boxes means two products. We test the GeForce GTX 460 D5 EX OC (700 MHz core) and GeForce GTX 460 D5 LTD OC (810 MHz core), also called the Super Overclock version.

Above, you can see the two cards tested, GeForce GTX 460 1024MB models. The cards come with a basic bundle, no additional game software or anything. Good news on the overclocking side, voltage tweaking Xtreme HD tuner software is supported, and as our overclock demo will show... we can get this puppy even over 900 MHz on the core

The D5 EX OC version - so 675 MHz is the default reference clock frequency on the core... this one is clocked at 700 MHz OC for you. The memory is clocked a notch higher as well at 3700 MHz.

The fastest SKU available is the Super Overclock version D5 LTD OC which has 810 Mhz on the core, 1620 Mhz on the shader processor partitions and 4000 MHz (effective data-rate) on the 256-bit gDDR5 frame buffer.

As you can see, the card is equipped with two dual-link DVI connectors and a mini-HDMI connector, an actual HDMI cable is included -- which is lovely.

Riddle me this riddle me that, who's the fastest one of that ?

The cards are build with high-quality rated components (stronger, higher quality, better heat levels), a nice blue PCB and of course the eye-catching cooler, which works really well though is noisy. More on that later though.  BTW look at the exhaust erea, the extra wide brackets are being used here, that creates a little extra airflow, nice.
