So on the PC or laptop side of things it's all simple, insert the HDMI dongle into a free HDMI output. Now do you see the USB cable ? That feeds power to the dongle, let's flip the laptop around for a second to look at that.

Simply insert it into an empty USB slot, that's it. Mind you that there is no software installation needed or anything. This is a 100% hardware solution. Windows will detect a device though, but that's all.

Once we plugged in the USB connector and the HDMI dongle we can power up the PC/Laptop. Again, windows will display a device found, but does not need to install it.

Once powered up the dongle and the receiver will try to link up. This takes about a 15 seconds, the two green LEDs indicate that we have a successful handshake. Set your telly to the proper HDMI channel and activate the HDMI output on the laptop, or the PC. Make sure you are set at 1080P and that's all there is to it.
