Riddle me this riddle me that, which is which? The upper card is the x850 XT and the lower one the x850 XT PE. There simple is no aesthetic difference that we can spot.
These are of course the up to x16 PCI-Express compatible models. There will be AGP version available also. They can simply make an PCI-Express product AGP compatible by adding a little extra chip that ATI calls their Rialto silicon. Basically a bridge chip.
Both the x850 XT and PE models are 100% similar looking, above is the standard XT version.
