9. What's the best part of your rig?

The custom turquoise colour in the hardline defiantly finishes the build off, but I’d be daft not to say the case! The D-Frame Mini is one-of-a-kind, a superb looking case which has been fantastic to work with. I’ll never tire of looking into the unique open air chassis (although I might tire of dusting it!)

10. Any dislikes, things you should not have bought?

Good question. I was cursing the hardline system when building it, but now I have a finished product it seems to have been worth it. The coming weeks will determine if what I hear about the Monsoon Hardline cracks are really myths!

11. Did you modify anything ?  cases/video cards/other? Did you do it yourself? Walk us through it.

I took on quite a few case mods on this build, these included:

  • Fitting an mATX motherboard (case was designed for Mini ITX)
  • Fitting a 360mm radiator (case was designed for 240mm)
  • Assorted handcrafted metalwork including reservoir backplate, PSU cover, PCI slots, radiator mounting brackets, HDD mount
  • Painting the motherboard (was red, now black and turquoise)
  • Full PSU cable braiding
  • Hardline watercooling

12. Your 3DMark scores

13. Do you have any future updates planned ?

Nothing more on this build. I’ve already got a few ideas in mind for a scratch case build next year though!
