Guru3D Rig of the Month 2010 competition series

Each month here at Guru3D.com we feature one of you guys, your PC, your DIY project. It is quite honestly amazing how much detail and dedication you put into an PC, and every now and then it really shows. This months was particular difficult as we have received many entries, and the build quality was so very fine that we had a tremendous task of picking one winner.

This months winner is Josh Sniffen, at the age of 24 he is an artist who designed a Rig for Sapphire. The end result is a stunning looking PC. Though we doubted a little to approve this PC as it is funded by them, we simply could not ignore this build as it really is sheer beauty. When you see it you'll fall in love with it.

Also an nice detail, in all the time we run the ROTM contests, this is the first ever AMD based PC !

The winner of the months Rig of the Month will receive an OCZ Technology Z Series 850W Modular PSU (80plus Gold Certified) delivered for free at it's doorsteps as a nice incentive. These PSUs feature ultra-high efficiency of 90% and have achieved the 80+ Gold Certification. OCZ strived to make the Gold Z Series a true “best-in-class” power supply, including a powerful single +12-volt rail design and an industrial-grade core engineered for maximum stability and reliability. Built for excellence.

Would you like to have your PC published? Check out the lower half of this landing page and read what is required.

Meet the Guru3D rig of the month winner:

1. What is your name / nickname /age / occupation?

My name is Josh Sniffen, I am 24 years old (gettin' up there) and I beg for living (artist).

2. What did you first come here for?

I think my first visit to the guru was back in the age of Doom 3 in search for some Radeon benchmarks.

3. What do you mainly use the system for?

If I am not in my shop I am at my desk, doing CAD work or playing Starcraft II, and that is what I use my systems for.  This particular system was built as a show rig for Sapphire at Quakecon 2010 and will be given away to a lucky Sapphire Select Club member this December. This months build comes from a Mikkel Olsen. At 27 years of age Mikkel probably did not build the most beautiful game PC we have had submitted, but his room nearly is one huge PC, a freakish gaming please heaven for many of you. The guy has a lot going on in there as you are about to find out. Come to think of it, the guy should put up some Miami Vice signs in there to get that good old 80'ies feel to it :)

Guru3D Rig of the Month - June 2012
One person we have been following closely on his build-log is Eric Soeters from the Netherlands, and although his build still is not 100% finished, it's nearly there and just amazing. He has built the chassis from ground up including some very hard work. The end result is his new PC called the "Exo-S", we'll just leave the explanation and working to the man himself as the only thing that is left after you have seen this build is to clap your hands and yell bravo ...
