Probably close to $2800 AUD (1850 Euro / 2250 USD).
5. How often do you update/buy a new rig?
I work in web marketing for a computer store, so it makes it quite easy to access new parts as they come out so I update little things here and there monthly. But a big overhaul probably happens only every 3-4 years.
