4. How much money did you spend on the rig as it is right now?

It's hard to put an exact number on it but the case itself including watercooling equipment has probably costed over 1300 Euro's. The hardware has been bought piece by piece over the years but the last time I upgraded it was around 700 Euro's.

5. How often do you update/buy a new rig?

When games start running under 30 fps at medium/high settings, I always say to myself "now it's time for an upgrade".
This normally results in buying new hardware each year or two.

6. What components are used?

With this build I used:

Hardware:

  • Motherboard: Asrock Fatal1ty Z77 Profess1onal
  • CPU: Intell I5 3570K @ 4.4Ghz
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) @ 2133 Mhz
  • Graphic cards: AMD HD5870 in crossifire
  • Storage: 2 x OCZ vertex 4 120GB (in raid 0) , Corsair Force 120GB
  • PSU: Corsair 1000Watt

Watercooling:

  • Radiators: 2 x XSPC RX360 
  • Pumps: 2 x Swifttech MCP355
  • Reservoirs: 2 x XSPC DCC top 
  • Waterblocks: GPU 2 x MCW82 , CPU XSPC Raystorm
  • Others: Copper piping, Bitspower fittings and fillports.
  • Fans: 9 x Scythe GentleTyphoon 120mm 1850rpm
