7. Why ATI or NVIDIA, why Intel or AMD?

I don't really have a brand preference, I usually go for what I believe performs better at the time. For CPU's that is most definitely Intel at the moment, although I've used AMD CPU's in the past. GPU's from AMD & Nvidia are much closer in performance. I chose the 290X because I felt it offered 95% of the performance of a 780ti and at the time was £100 cheaper - enough to pay for a waterblock and overclock! Also running at 2560x1440 I liked the idea of having some extra memory just in case!

8. Does your PC live up to your expectations ?

Yes definitely. It exceeds it. With a growing family we have much too much stuff in our house and little room to put it. For a while I'd been kicking around the idea of shrinking my rig from the larger cases I've had in the past (Cooler master stacker, Silverstone TJ07, Corsair 800D) but didn't want to compromise on the ability to have full custom water-cooling & high end hardware. I came across the Parvum S1.0 last year, and it fit the bill perfectly. Then they released the S2.0 and Justin at Parvum was extremely accommodating in extending the case for me to take a triple rad in the roof.
