Gigabyte Radeon HD 6870 review

Gigabyte Radeon HD 6870 1024MBAfter publishing a reference review on the Radeon HD 6850 and 6870 we posted a Crossfire review on these cards. We followed that by a review of the very same products from HIS. This article will cover just one card though, we land at the premises of Gigabyte as they as well are preparing to launch a wide variety of what could be some very popular Christmas graphics card.

Gigabyte submitted their Radeon HD 6870, and as much as Gigabyte would have liked to customize it, AMD is not yet allowing custom model of this unit. So the product they shipped is except for the sticker, very much similar to the reference  Radeon HD 6870. That doesn't mean we don't want to check it out of course ... the R6870 is an impressive piece of hardware for the money you need to put down on the table.

One fact we all understand though, the new mid-range series 6800 promise to deliver a very decent chunk of gaming performance, a set of new features and as always, will carry a nice price tag.

Let's have a quick peek at Gigabyte's Radeon HD 6870 and then head onwards into the review, where we'll cover the features, architecture, photo-shoot, power consumption and heat levels and benchmarks.

Pretty much everything you can expect from a Guru3D.com review of course. Next page please.
