A second meet and greet ...

When it comes to wiring, we feel we are missing a little more connectivity, have a look at the supplied connectors:

  • 24-pin Motherboard Connector 1x
  • 4+4-pin +12V CPU Connector 1x
  • (6+2)-pin PCI-E 2.0 Connectors 2x
  • SATA Connectors 6x
  • 4-pin Peripheral Connectors 4x
  • 4-pin Floppy Connector 1x

So what I am missing here is another set of 6-pin PCI-E connectors. If you go 2-way SLI, you already have two connectors AWOL, which the need to be fed from the Molex connectors of which there are only 4 available.

Or say you want to go SLI with high-end cards and add another adapter for PhysX, again an issue as here again you'd be missing two PCI-E connectors. Sure you can hook that card up, yet you need Molex to 6-pin converters and well .. it just looks messy.

So yeah, this is definitely something that Gigabyte should opt for their next models.

We do have nicely sleeved black cabling with black colored connectors. That's a good design. The cables have a proper nice length at 50 CM / 20"

The peripheral connectors like Molex again start at 50 CM / 20" and end at 80 CM.

The backside is nicely meshed, but what is that extra little switch for you ask ?

Well, you can enable or disable the blue LED in the fan. It's a nice niche little subtlety, though I doubt that anyone really cares about it to be honest.
