Let's have a look at the card. Do not underestimate how much performance this card has under its hood. Targeted at a MSRP of roughly 350 USD it packs 1280MB of gDDR5 memory, its core frequency is clocked at 700 MHz, its shader processors at 1400 MHz and that memory at 3348 MHz (effective). As you guys know, this card is positioned against ATI's Radeon HD 5850, which has dropped to under 300 USD, but due to that overclock it competes with the Radeon HD 5870 and closes in dangerously at the GeForce GTX 480.

The TDP is a little lower opposed to its big brother at 215 Watts. Overall, a nice dark / black / blue tone themed looking card offering a nice powerful bite in performance.

Gigabyte offers the card with two dual-link DVI connectors supporting all high-resolution monitors and all the way to the left you can see an HDMI connector. That's a nice choice in connectivity alright. No more S/PDIF cables leading to the graphics card, audio is now routed over the PCIe bus allowing native audio over the HDMI connector thanks to an updated video processor inside the GPU (VP4). We'll have a chat about VP4 later on.
