The G1.Sniper B5 is based on the Intel B85 chipset, the entry-level chipset for the 4th generation Intel Core processors. It's not as advanced as the Z87 chipset used in the G1.Sniper 5 and M5.
The audio solution is based on a Realtek ALC898 CODEC (110 dBA SNR), ground-layer isolation, Nichicon audiophile-grade electrolytic capacitors on the AMP stage, and a removable OPAMP chip.
The board features AMI UEFI BIOS with GIGABYTE's latest G1.Killer series setup program, backed by dual-BIOS. Gigabyte are really going all out with their G1.Sniper series. The G1.Sniper B5 motherboard is designed to support LGA 1150 Haswell CPUs.
