But there's no Guru3D review without the package, no Sir. And yes yes .. Gigabyte makes sure you'll notice it's Ultra durable alright ;)

So here we have the kit. As you can see, the m-ATX form factor definitely shows. It's quite wondrous how much performance and features a small motherboard can pack really. BTW a m-ATX motherboard always fits into your standard ATX sized chassis. Don't worry about that please. You'll receive the defaults and necessities, nothing extravagant though. But well .. at a 115 EUR price level, one should not expect that either I guess.

One thing can be said about the GA-EG45M-UD2H, it is colorful alright. The united colors of Benetton Gigabyte :) But let's walk through connectivity shall we.

At the rear place something I like to see very much, it's stuffed with connectors, that's what I call a cluster. We start on the left with a combo of PS2 mouse/keyboard connector. Directly above it 2 USB ports.

Then a plethora of VGA loving, VGA connector, DVI and HDMI, lovely. Right next to it an optical TOSLINK output, very good stuff for a HTPC connecting to a receiver. Then two more USB ports, a Firewire connector and eSATA port. Then a gigabit Ethernet connector and yet again 2 USB ports. And all the way to the right the analog audio connectors which get their funky tunes from the integrated ALC889A audio controller (Realtek). Realtek also deals with networking duties (RTL8111C Gigabit Ethernet chip) which is pretty decent really.
