Gaming on three monitors at 5760x1080 continued

Anno 2070

Untitled-24

So with Anno 2070 again Crossfire mode with 4 GPUs was not working properly. We applied:

  • DX11
  • Very high Quality mode
  • in-game AA enabled
  • in-game AF enabled
At 5760x1080 you will not be complaining about performance even with one Titan. Two cards will give it a little more bite, but with three cards we again run into CPU limitation (and yes, this is still the Intel X79 - Core i7 3960 Extreme @ 4600 MHz test rig).

Metro 2033

Metro 2033 is the game that hates Nvidia for whatever reason, but it does scale well once you flick on multi-GPU modes. No complaints here.

Battlefield 3

Untitled-26

For our last test we obviously had to include Battlefield 3, all test runs have enabled:

  • DX11
  • Ultra mode
  • 4xMSAAAA enabled
  • 16x AF enabled
  • HBAO enabled

Props to the competition, the two 7970 GPUs in the ARES II give it a lead over the GeForce GTX 690 and Titan alright, actually by an extensive margin which is impressive to see. Unfortunately, you can't buy them anywhere with only a thousands pieces released worldwide. If you filter the ARES II out, SLI scales well with the Titan cards and this game.

Try to imagine playing Battlefield 3 at these settings on a 5760x1080 triple monitor setup at 82 FPS on average. I won't lie, I had a pretty good time with it :)
