Alright, let's have a peek at the reference GeForce GTX 560 Ti model, here you can see the card we tested, currently launching is a 1GB version of the GeForce GTX 560 Ti. A 822 MHz is the default reference clock frequency used on the core. Based on a 2:1 ratio the shader processor are clocked double of that, 1644 MHz.
The 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 memory is clocked at an effective data-rate of 4000 MHz, well 4008 MHz to be precise. The design is sophisticated alright, we like that. Nice black PCB, which is 9-inches in length. This card will eat up two PCI slots.
Two 6-pin PEG power connectors are required for this board. Power consumption is rated at a 170W TDP for the reference design 1024MB model. The TDP as we measure it is in fact a fraction lower, which was a nice surprise. We don't like the power-connectors being seated at the rear of the card. The top side is what we prefer. PSU cables these days, especially the PCIe PEG headers, can be long and with a small chassis that can cause installation issues. Granted, it does look nicer though.
As you can see, the card is equipped with three connectors due to space limitations, two dual-link DVI connectors and a mini Display Port connector. The cooler exhausts hot air through the upper mesh.
